    Default Mystery Ink #27

Hi again, FP Geeks and ink aficionados, welcome to Mystery Ink #27, a continuation of the mythical, memorable, maniacal, magical Mystery Ink series where volunteers receive an unlabeled, unknown ink sample and share an unbiased review.

As always, Mystery Ink participation is open to FPG veterans, newbies, and lurkers. It's a super fun way to try a new ink you might not pick on your own.

I will randomly select from the pool of volunteers and send free ink. Then you write and/or draw with it and share your reviews, thoughts, opinions, and observations.

We don't care how good or bad your handwriting or drawing is. All we're after is a good, unbiased review of the ink. See prior threads to get an idea.

Guessing is welcome, but not required. There's no prize for a correct guess beyond deep, eternal, personal satisfaction.

The ink this time around should be safe in anything: medium saturation, dye based (not pigmented), no shimmer, not iron gall.

So, who else would like to participate in this next Mystery Ink review?

If you are international please let me know.

Haven't forgotten, had some other stuff come up. I'm really looking forward to the next several inks in the series!

Now I am just working to source a Round Tuit. Once I get one I'll get those inks packed and shipped out.

Apologies for the delays, friends, but stay tuned!

Sorry, no Round Tuits here, but I'll be happy to send you a couple of Attaboys for all your work on the Mystery Ink series!

My grandmother had one! hers was an embroidered potholder and was hung in the kitchen (which was always spotless and in perfect order, so it must have worked!)

Ink arrived today. Trying to decide what pens to put it in. I'm thinking a flexy Pilot and a stub of some sort - maybe TWSBI or Italix.

I'll add more photos tomorrow when I have better light, but first impression is that I really like it. It seems to make my nibs smoother and it also has an adequate drying time.

Thanks Azkid again for providing the ink.

    MI#27 plays well with water.
It has only very little water resistance.
If flows well and behave really good.
I can´t see any feathering, bleed or show through on Clairefontaine and also on cheaper paper.

When I write with this ink it shows more like a dark gray, but when you give it a wash you can clearly see that it is a dark brown.

MI#27 is a really nice ink, and I definitely not have it in my collection.
