    Default Tabo Co repair

    Hi everyone,

I'm working on this nice little Italian piston filler and need to remove the piston knob. You can see in the picture there is a small metal finial cap with a small hole in it.

Does anyone know how to get this little bugger off? I've tried conservative heat and twisting with a sticky pad and pulling it out with a "hook", all to no avail. I've cross posted this on the repair page as well.

Thanks in advance for your input.

    James

I might contact Paolo Mijino of Zona900 pens. Very knowledgeable about all things vintage Italian.

    Thanks....
Ive since managed to get everything apart and replaced the cork piston gasket with rubber o-rings.
    Nice pen!
