    Default FS: Inexpensive but Interesting

Eight pens for sale. In my early days of fountain pen geekdom I bought lots of pens. Limited storage motivates me to keep trimming the overall accumulation. I rarely use these any more, so they should go to better homes.

None of these are fancy, but most have interesting nibs in one way or another. I think all the nibs are steel except on the Cross Townsend.

All but the Noodler's are cartridge/converter pens, and converters are included.

Writing samples are below the description. Below that is a photo attempting to capture the strange color of the Townsend.

All prices include shipping within the US. International shipping is possible by negotiation. If you buy two pens I will send them in the same box so can reduce the total price by $5.00.

Here they are with their clothes on:

And here are two nib photos. The second is worse as a photo but the extra contrast makes it easier to see the tips of the nibs.

Fell free to ask for more info or more photos, of course.

SOLD 1) Rosetta Magellan pen with a Pendleton "BLS" (Butter-Line Stub) nib. Asking $50.

    2) Italix Parson's Essential in Burgundy with a broad italic nib. Asking $30.

Withdrawn: gifted to a friend. 3) Platinum Balance in black. I think it's supposed to be a Medium nib, but writes more like a fine. Asking $30.

Withdrawn: fountain pen day gift. 4) Filcao pen in caramel acrylic, nice steel nib. Asking $30.

    5) Cross Townsend in titanium gray. See below for comments on the color. This was sold to me as a Townsend Medalist, but that doesn't seem right. Writes well. Nibs.com has a used one at $225, but I'm not sure about this one, so asking $60.

SOLD 6) Italix Parson's Essential in amber with a medium oblique italic nib. Nice writer.

    7) Noodler's Ahab demonstrator with a steel "flex" nib that well, flexes a little bit. Asking $25.

    8) Noodler's Konrad with a steel "flex" nib much like the Ahab. Asking $25.

Here is a bad photo of the Townsend in which the werid coloring is visible. I can't decide whether this is deliberate or the pen is damaged. It works, but I don't enjoy looking at it. Price reflects this.
