I have a feeling that before Inktober has passed, I will have made a fool of myself at least once and probably more than once.

Anyway, no pretense of following the suggested themes this time. In fact, last night I feel asleep in front of my sketchbook, trying to decide what to draw. So in desperation I am submitting a picture of one of my practice sheets from my blackletter calligraphy drills. Next time I'm jammed for time, I may submit a snapshot of a splash of spilled ink, or something equally quick and sleazy.

Mostly Speedball C-4 and Mitchell dip nibs in various dip pens, with Higgins India Ink (didn't want to use up my sumi for practice). also a Lamy Joy with a 1.5mm italic nib and De Atramentis Document Black. And assorted marginal notes in a plethora of inks laid down by myriad pens. Paper is Canson mixed media.

Day 4 (It's still Day 3 in California, but it's Day 4 on the East Coast and Across the Pond)

This is what I was trying to do with the messed up picture that I said was a disaster that I tried to save. I think I posted it on Day 2.

Drawn in pencil and Diamine Oxford Blue from a Pilot Custom 74, fine nib. The dip pen is a Tachikawa comic nib holder with a Speedball C-4 nib.

Chrissy, hope you are fine again.
Great that you participate again, I really like your stuff.
I see you are using Strathmore 400 paper (at least it looks like that paper), how do you like it?
Bait with the beheaded worm is my favorite from you so far.

Cool stuff Azkid, keep it coming.
Captain Cold is my favorite from yours.
Recently I watched the second season of Legends of tomorrow,...... what a crappy show, I thought I should getting paid Continue watching it , the story writer should be shot immediately under martial law.
I think an average talented chimp could write better stories.

Well done Voiren, I like your “Ring” best, really good.

Great Calamus, your ancient elvish is awesome.

Christof, I really enjoy your very creative minimalistic approach.

Well done Suzy (as expected) good to see you back, your “Freeze” is outstanding.

    I dispute nothing you say.

Although the show has become a source of campy, goofy "mindless" fun for me. I do enough thinking at work.

At any rate, I am now caught up with my next goofy attempt.
