Great that you participate again, I really like your stuff.
I see you are using Strathmore 400 paper (at least it looks like that paper), how do you like it?
Bait with the beheaded worm is my favorite from you so far.

Cool stuff Azkid, keep it coming.
Captain Cold is my favorite from yours.
Recently I watched the second season of Legends of tomorrow,...... what a crappy show, I thought I should getting paid Continue watching it , the story writer should be shot immediately under martial law.
I think an average talented chimp could write better stories.

Well done Voiren, I like your “Ring” best, really good.

Great Calamus, your ancient elvish is awesome.

Christof, I really enjoy your very creative minimalistic approach.

Well done Suzy (as expected) good to see you back, your “Freeze” is outstanding.
I think everyone is having an excellent Inktober so far, and long may it continue.
I'm loving the Srathmore Toned Grey paper. Thanks for the recommendation.
My day in hospital was actually my Pre-op assessment. I actually have an operation on my right thumb on 22nd. So from then onwards, I won't be able to participate until it's better. I won't even be able to write letters. I'll be sure to come and see all of the Inktober art though

Once again, I am not following the list of suggested subjects. It's not so much that I'm trying to be a rebel, I think, as it is that when I figure out something to draw, and then manage to do a (not even necessarily very good) drawing of it, I figure I've at least gotten ink onto paper. I do have ideas for some of the line items, but today (for Day 5, which should be "Build") I've done a sketch of a clever carving (actually a resin casting of a wood carving) of a mouse. It was a gift, a souvenir of Mousehole, Cornwall.

Pilot Metropolitan with fine nib, De Atramentis Document Black.
Also pencil, and a wee bit of digital tidying up.
    Bienfang Sketchbook, 50 lb paper.

I love all the work everyone has been posting. I wanted to mention in particular that I think that Christof's fish series is genius.

Also Chrissy -- are you alright? Being in hospital doesn't sound good at all. Please let us know how you're doing. oh wait, I see. I missed it the first time. You said it was pre-op for a procedure on your thumb. Well, I certainly hope it goes well for you!

Thanks for your concern but I'm fine. Not in hospital, just 2 visits. Just going to have an op on my right thumb. All will be well.

Oh. You were right there online! While I was editing my post, you'd already answered it. Well, dang. Anyway, I'm glad it's "just" your thumb, although I had a procedure done on my thumb about a year ago, and it took a while to heal, and wasn't any fun.

    Get well soon!

All the best for your OP Chrissy!

I can feel with you as I will have also one in the next weeks, but on my leg to remove a deep sitting lipoma which feels strange.
But this will not affect my activities (hopefully).

    Prompt: "Husky"

To be honest, I did not liked this prompt.
I had no idea beside the obvious theme, and the obvious theme scared me a bit because drawing a (somehow realistic) furry animal is far out of my comfort zone.
Anyway, here it is, and to be honest I´m not unhappy with the result.

Chrissy, best wishes for upcoming procedure!

Calamus: I like your stuff and yes I think it's all about putting ink to paper, whether rebel or conformist. I think we have to draw something we really want to draw.

I figure, give it a go. If it turns out, great. If it doesn't, thats fine too. We're just having fun among friends, right?

I feel like I am learning a few things, slowly. I tried drawing a hammer for build. Well... Uhhh... It looked better in my head so I gave up in frustration.

Ptero—love the husky dogs! Going outside the comfort zone has to be good.

Now... What to draw for Husky... Dog? Burly dude? Something totally unrelated? Hmm

    Inktober day 6 - Husky

I didn't like this prompt either as I cannot draw animals.

I was very close to not uploading this and I may yet change my mind.... Couldn't get the nose right, then couldn't get the mouth right.

My OH suggested some nuts that were "husky." I should have listened to him......

No, you made the right decision.
Your Husky is great, nothing wrong with it.

Azkid is right we learn most when going out of our comfort zone.

And beside having a lot of fun this challenge is also about learning new things.
