    Exclamation TWSBI Rose Gold 580

For several months TWSBI has been teasing a new Rose Gold 580, saying it would be "soon." I prodded them on facebook this morn, and they responded with this...

"...why do you think we are taking longer to make sure the second one is perfect? and we did mention it multiple times it will be coming October/November. Please allow us time to make sure you get the perfect pen."

I had wondered out loud if their problematic first effort with such a pen a few years ago was coloring, so to speak, their effort with this new one. Anyway, I'm satisfied I now have an official timeframe from TWSBI for the intro. I'm looking forward to it very much.

My 'original' rose gold [with black plastic trim] does write on the dry side, but it's a lovely pen. Personally, I prefer the red 580 and I keep that filled with Noodler's Brexit - sheer devilment!

Hi GC Is your 580 a regular or an AL? I'm not sure I would want an AL.

I've some of both, as it happens. The red one I mentioned is 'ordinary' but I'fe Al versions as well. The red Al one is rather tasty!
