Very interesting to hear about some of the manufacturing techniques used: the ultrasonic welding, the molding of the plastic liner inside of the banded material in situ, and likewise the molding of the cap around the cap ring (the Pilot video from a few days ago shows the same process).
The human element I'm sure makes a major difference in quality. I am always impressed by the higher end Pelikans at pen gatherings.
