Default Which other pen model looks like this one?

    Hello,

    Timestamped at this link:https://youtu.be/9RCtY099OKc?t=630

It is a Montblanc from the 30s. It seems that they don't make this model anymore.

So I am curious if there are other pens that look like this pen (with preference for a piston system and black material)?

    Thanks in advance.

edit: So I am looking for pens that look like this but aren't a Montblanc
btw the clip is very fascinating, I recommend watching the whole clip.

Several Montblanc pen models probably look like this vintage Montblanc. Of the more modern ones, the Hemingway WE looks very much like it but has an orange barrel.
Maybe the pen in the video clip looks like a Montblanc 139, but I don't know anything about vintage Montblanc pens. Hopefully someone else will.

You could always try searching for Montblanc vintage pens either as images on Google, or as actual pens on ebay if you want to find something similar.

Maybe posting this question in the Montblanc forum would have brought you more replies, unless you are suggesting you are looking for a pen like this that wasn't made by Montblanc?

The pen in the video is a Montblanc 139, which today is both rare and expensive (unless you are extremely lucky).

Other pens that look like that would be its siblings (138, 136, 134) with their variations. Or the MB Hemmingway that was modeled after the 139.

I have a 134 short ink window model:

Exactly, that is what I mean. Which other pen model looks like this which isn't a Montblanc but another brand?

Depends on what features you want. The general flat top arrangement was pretty common. Parker and Sheaffer definitely made some very nice flat top models.

And welcome home. Pull up a stump and set a spell.

I don't know of another pen that looks like a Montblanc 139 in black with a piston fill mechanism but was not made by Montblanc.

jar is right, maybe a couple of Parker C/C fillers might get close in looks, but not in filling system.

Button fillers and lever fillers were what I was thinking of.

You may want to look at Soennecken 500 series such as the 510 or 507
They are black flat tops with piston mechanisms and ink view windows

Come to think of it, just buy a black Pelikan Souverän piston-filler in any size you like: M400, M600, M800 or even the massive M1000.

I'm curious. Why do you want a pen that isn't a Mont Blanc, but looks like that one?

Excellent suggestion. Soennecken is probably the pen maker who can give vintage Montblanc a run for the money. Their 5xx or even 1xx piston fillers are top-notch, feels very nice in the hand, elegant clip design, and the piston assembly that I like better than either MB or Pelikan's.

    I'm restoring a 112 as we speak.

It is because I'm looking for a new pen rather than a vintage and since Montblanc does not make this model anymore so I excluded them.

There were two Writers Edition MBs that were based on the 139; the Hemingway and the Dumas.

First, you need to consider the type of vehicle you have. Different vehicles require different tires based on their performance needs. For example, if you have a sports car, you’ll need higher performance tires than a family sedan. If you’re hauling heavy loads in your truck, you’ll need tires that can handle the weight. https://tiresdaily.com/best-mud-terrain-tires/

A Kaweco Dia2 is also a good facsimile and fairly affordable.
