I just wanted to say hi, and let people know I'm here.

I've used fountain pens my whole life, going back to Sheaffer Student models in elementary school and junior high in the 1960's, but I was always just a user, with one to three pens. I've always preferred the way fountain pen ink looks on paper. I returned to fountain pens this past Spring, and apparently with a vengeance. I have substantially more than two or three pens, including an array of Esterbrook J's giving me an entrance into vintage pens. I'm retired now, so I have time to spend with my pens.

I'm not interested in pens per se. Currently my interests are oriented more toward nibs, paper, and the effects you can get using different nibs have on different papers.

The Dallas Pen Show was this past weekend. I'd never attended a pen show before and found the experience positively invigorating.

later,
