Wink Do You Hate Me Yet? Golden Browns

Thanks for putting up with my Perfect Black Ink Quest. The experiments are ongoing!

Now I am after a golden brown ink to put in a gold-sparkly Sailor Sapporo with a Broad nib. I already have (and am hoarding!) some Skrip King's Gold. I'd like suggestions for something a teeny bit darker but still noticeably golden brown, with no green cast to it. It's got to be wet, and well-flowing. Shading is a plus!

Thinking of readily available makers like Diamine, Monteverde, possibly even Noodler's (but not thick, sticky, or slow to dry). You know. Inks like that.

(Most of my browns are of the dark and reddish type.). Thanks again!
My other pen is a Montblanc.

And my other blog is a tumblr!

Maybe you could look at a couple of the Diamine Guitar series inks in case you like that type of golden brown. Diamine Golden Brown is a sepia colour rather than a gold and I think it would qualify as having a green cast.

One of my personal favourites would be Diamine Golden Honey from their 150th Anniversary inks. When I reviewed Golden Honey I used Sheaffer King's Gold as one of my comparison inks.

Another one if you want something more permanent is R&K Carmen. That's a very nice ink.

Does Iroshizuku Ina-ho count as golden brown?

Are those KWZs iron gall? Nice colors, but I prefer a not-IG formulation.

Only a smaller part of the KWZ inks are iron gall. Most are not. Honestly, I think KWZ Honey would be a great choice, but look at some of their others. I've linked to Vanness Pen Co., which is an excellent source for purchasing since they keep most of the KWZ line in stock. For what ever reason, KWZ does a really good job with the yellow/gold/brown spectrum.

Thanks! I swear I saw KWZI Honey as IG. Maybe there are two versions.

I honestly can't address the two versions as to IG/non-IG. I do know that when the ink came out it was popular and then there was some issue with the formulation, and they came out with a "2nd version" or something. Anyway, if it is in two forms Vanness will know and they are very informed on all their ink lines. Lisa and her crew probably know more about inks than most any vendor.

Gold comes as an IG or non-IG formula. Honey is strictly non-IG
