    Default And now I have a 149 (1991?)

Traded off four of my pens (Danitrio Mae West, Recession Urushi, 18K Factory Stub / Parker 75 Cisele '64' 14K EF / 1915 Mabie Todd NY Swan Vest Pen 14K Flex Fine / Mabie Todd LTD Sawn 205/60 14K Semiflex Fine), and got one big black one in return from Ray.

Has an early plastic feed, but also has a hole in it that feeds ink much like the feed channel above.

I figure it to be a 1991, but with a newer "Germany" cap. (the only year a 14K Bi-Color and Early Plastic feed intersect)

I had one that I considered suit/sport coat breast pocket jewelry. I found I didn't enjoy the size. That said, enjoy your MB.

Congrats on the 149, and many happy years of writing with it.

Filled it with some Montblanc Irish green, I like the feel and balance of it. Course the only case I have that can fit it's girth is my Nockco Lookup ( would prefer my 3Wunder 3-pen leather case which my Sailor 1911L and Platinum #3776 can fit into )

And like my Montblanc 14, and Montblanc 225 it appears to be translucent/transparent under infrared light. These were shot at 560 nanometers+ (which includes some visible red/orange light, which is what creates the two-tone look between visible light and infrared light, if I did 850~1,000+ it would just be monochrome and purely just infrared light)

In comparison to my 14 and 225 (but shot with no visible light captured)

Very nice. I would have liked to have had a 149 with a fine nib like that. The girth of the 149 is well suited to older and stiffer fingers.

Great pen! Hope you enjoy it very much for years to come. I also like the sci fi X-ray effect.
