    Default I know it's a long shot...(Pilot #10 nib)

So, yeah, has anyone successfully and easily swapped out a Pilot #10 nib with a non-Pilot pen?

I already know the Pilot #10 nib won't fit in a Nakaya Piccolo, but how about, say, a TWSBI Vac Mini?

    Or... another brand and model?

    Anyone?

    Oo! Great tip!

So... if a PenBBS can take a Pilot #10 and a #6 Jowo, that means, say, a Noodler's Ahab, which can take a #6 Jowo (which I bought to use with a #6 Jowo PO nib (from fpnibs.com) that currently resides in a Danitrio), should be able to take the Pilot #10 nib, yes?

Trying not to pre-squeal/repressing the "Eeeeeeeee!"

Thank you, thank you for pointing me in the right direction, catbert! Eeeeee--no, wait with the "eeeee," let's see first. Thank you!

You're welcome — I hope it works. (Should clarify that I haven't actually tried the Pilot nib swap myself ...)
And thank you for reminding me about my Ahab. That heat-settable feed could be useful in this context.

I ordered a Jowo housing that fits a 912 nib and feed from flexiblenib.com, so... I should know by the weekend what is the what. I'm super excited!

All this time I wanted this PO nib in a Nakaya, but now I'll be stoked if it fits the Ahab or the Danitrio, but probably the Ahab more, cos no worries about UV rays. I don't know what I have against the 912. I didn't realize... I don't know! Maybe now I just want it in a pen with a transparent barrel. Who am I? Hahaha! I'm just rolling with it!

My turn to say great tip! I see they have Bock housings too (I have more pens that take Bock housings at this point).

Just noticed the shape of an Ahab section is kind of like a Leonardo.

It is a great tip! Looking for a better feed for my 912FA.

    UPDATE:

The 912 (PO) "fits" in the Noodler's Ahab, but... not really. The nib and feed went in and became a kindv hooded nib, but I wasn't confident that ink wouldn't seep through the sides, so I took the Pilot stuff out. I'm looking forward to trying one of the fpnibs.com #6 Jowo PO nibs I have over there w Polsce. (Nib only, not the feed, not the housing.)

The #6 Jowo housing from flexiblenib.com that fits the 912 (PO) arrived quickly. Without thinking it through, I put the PO nib in it, thinking, "Oh man, that's not going to fit." But it did! Snugly! And so I was reluctant to pull it back out, which meant having to clean the nib after the fact. I'm eager to try it in my Danitrio Komori.

Exciting news also is Joey Grasty of flexiblenib is working on Jowo #5 replacement feeds and housings, planned for next year....

BREAKING NEWS! Alittle mouse! In the house! What's funny is that -- uh oh, Cleo the lazy cat, hunter of geckoes, is now on the job. Eek! -- what's funny is how true it is that when confronted with a cute, little mouse, I (and my mother) will scream like horror movie victims. Hahaha. Why is that?

CONFLICT: The mother is calling for Cleo, and I'm all (with a plastic container in hand) screaming NOOOOOO!
