Default Stop Me! I'm becoming a Tomoe River hoarder!

Well, I feel safe here and can let down my guard and share my latest weekness...last year I bought a pack of the 52gsm Tomoe River stationery and fell pretty much head long in love with the way that my pens and inks worked with it. Well, that got me going a bit and I soon had a 2 pack of the Pebble Stationery pocket notebooks and a Goulet Pens pocket notebook as well. Somehow, I decided I needed a 68gms notebook and mysteriously a GLP The Author arrived and I took to it quite well. Last week I converted my pocket notebook wallet from Field Notes to a Pebble Stationery book and a Goulet book. Ummm, then I ordered 4 Kanso Sasshi pocket notebooks from JetPens and before I really knew what was happening a Nanami Seven Seas Standard showed up in my mailbox and today a Taroko Enigma A5 was waiting for me. Taroko threw in a couple of pocket sized 68gsm books as well.

I think I must have blacked out. I haven't had a drink in over 4 years, so I know it wasn't that sort of blackout but something happened. However, I am honest enough to say that I probably won't use up all of my ink filling these lovely notebooks up. I'll check back in a few years and let you know how it is turning out.

This is merely wisely stocking up in case TEOTWAWKI dawns, possibly disrupting Tomoe supply lines. “Semper Paratus !”

Start writing on and mailing it faster than your hoarding rate. Just add envelopes and postage stamps.

I do like the Goulet notebooks. I just got a few Rhodia pocket notebooks but maybe next time the Goulet ones are in order.

Anyway I see nothing amiss here. Carry on.

And to make things worse, there's the Hobonichi notebook in A5 and A6.

Well, look, this is all well and good and commercial. Now you should level up and check out the various offerings from Curnow Bookbinding and Leatherwork (look for the very first, pinned post to see ordering info and selection). I know Steve from the SF Pen Posse and he does incredible work, both soft and hardbound formats in not only many sizes but will do custom work, too, at no extra charge. I just had two 3-packs of journals made for a new carrier - none of the A* or B* sized journals were right, either too big or too small. "Can you make them 5" wide and 6.5" high?" No problem - three with cream Tomoe, 128 pages and 3 with another paper with a grid, 80 pages. I chose patterns for the covers from a big sampling he has, one for each type. He also makes really cool hard covers with coptic binding, some with laser engraved wood, others repurposing old novels.

He's always on top of Tomoe and variations, so there is a lot you can choose from. You will now be buying even MORE!

Now don't buy any until you fill one up. Look forward to it, but hold firm.

Oh, I'm not buying any for a while...I have one of the Taroko pocket sized and one of the Goulet in my notebook cover (quasi bullet journal) and am using the Seven Seas as a journal for next well quite a while. I think the pocket sized will last me 3-5 months at the rate I fill the sheets and the Seven Seas likely will go until nearly the end of 2020 if not longer.

I've also discovered Pebble Stationery Tomoe River notebooks. They fit in my William Hannah notebook cover perfectly. I think I'm addicted. HELP!

Jim, we could write in a notebook and mail it back and forth, since we are such regular correspondents!

Same here. I also love to collect a massive collection of stationary and paints. My mom always recommends me to donate them as I can't use them but I love to have them. I don't think anyone can stop you. Keep it up.
