FS: Pelikan M400 14C B Nib Unit with Architect Grind by Mark Bacas

For sale is a Pelikan M400 14C B Nib Unit with an architect grind done by Mark Bacas. The nib unit is in excellent condition and wrote without issue. Architect grinds often work best with block printed writing but can be used to write cursive (smoothly) as well. However, with their small sweet spot, it is easy to accidentally alter your angle slightly and catch the paper. The angle the pen is held at it is very important for architect grinds. The angle of this grind is between 45 and 40 degrees. Mark uses the face of a clock to better understand the angles. From his form:

If it helps you can think of angles based on a clock. 12 o'clock would be 90° and 3 o'clock would be 0°. 2 o'clock is 30° and 1 o'clock is 60°. Between 1 o'clock and 2 o'clock is 45°.

M400 nib units can be used in 200/205, 400/405 and 600/605 series pens and in some vintage Pelikans as well.
