A lever and sac operated Golden Rule pen which burps
I have an American Golden Rule pen in the style of a lever and sac operated vintage Waterman pen, but which tends to burp. I thought this only happened with eyedropper pens. I am wondering what could cause this and how to prevent it? This pen has a rather pleasant flex nib, but I have to constantly examine whether a pool of ink is forming behind the nib. I would be grateful for suggestions to solve this problem.

Re: À lever and sac operated Golden Rule pen which burps
Burping is caused by excess air getting into the delivery system. Though there are several other avenues one might pursue, the most likely culprit is the sac, either poorly attached or having a pinhole. I always replace the sac in such a case which will either cure the problem or eliminate the most likely cause.
