This is my home show, so I will be there.
I have booked time with Gena (Custom Nib Studio)
to have some pen nibs worked on.
If Philly and the show was more of a spring or fall show I could see my investing as a place to come and visit as a tourist from Canada. I prefer not to pay bigger airfares to fly to a cold climate from a cold climate in January. I have however heard all good things about the show inclusive of the hospitality several years back during a heavy snow storm that confined folks to being in the hotel during other closures.
Mags or Rob Maguire MB 149, 147, 146,144, Mozart, Boehme, Sailor Realo, Aurora Optima, Churchmen Prescriptor and Parson's Essential, Parker 51 1.3 mm stub, Parker Vacumatic 1939 OB Can, TWSBI's (540,580, Mini and Vac 700), Pelikan M 1000/800 Demonstrator 600/200 demoM/200 OBB, Visconti Rembrandts (2), Lamy, Cross, Watermans, Pilots, Sheaffer's, Omas 360 LE 84/360, GvFC, Esterbrooks J and SJ, Bexley Jitterbug, Taccia, Eversharp 1952 flex, Edison Herald, Franklin Christoph Piper.
I've heard several excellent reports about the Philly pen show, but it would be even more expensive to fly from this cold climate where I live to that cold climate.
If I ever attend a US pen show, I'm thinking it would need to be one that takes place in summer.

Fermata, Agreement with your comment is quite easy. A one day show precludes many budget collectors and new to the hobby folks making such a large investment in a one day event. Still it takes all sorts of events to keep the interest up amongst the pen community new and old.
