I'm selling an aka-tamenuri finished Visconti Urushi fountain pen.
This vintage pen is part of the history of Visconti company. Visconti ordered this pen to 4 meisters of Japan at the beginning of their company.
Nib: produced by Kabutogi Ginjiro (兜木銀次郎)
Ebonite Body: produced by Sakai Eisuke (酒井栄助)
ebonite Feed: produced by Tsuchida Shuichi (土田修一)
Urushi finish: done by Takahashi Kichitaro (高橋吉太郎)
The urushi finish of this pen is not perfect as Nakaya fountain pen, but its deep red burgundy urushi is really beautiful.
Only 200 pens were made at 1990(100 pieces), 1991(1000 pieces) and it is really hard to find one. Nobody really knows weather 200 pieces are all made or not.
This pen is a japanese eyedropper pen using shutoff valve just like Danitrio Mikado or Namiki Emperor.
The pen is used, but in really nice mint condition(No leaking issues, but I recommand you not to pull the piston knob fully. Instead just turn the knob gently to make the ink flow)
The box and the certificate is included, which are valuable too.
It has 14K GK(Kabutogi Ginjiro) gold #6 size bouncy nib, which is juicy to write with.
I'm asking USD1250.00(paypal) including shipping from South Korea with tracking.
Please don't hesitate to PM me if you are interested.
If you send me an email(hee70b@gmail.com), I can respond to you more quickly.
Cheers.
