Can anyone shed some light as to how to add white paint/chalk/? into the barrel engraving on old Parker pens to highlight the writing?

I’ve had ok results following this video
Have fun
Good luck
Thanks, I will check it out.
I use a 'Royal Sovereign Chinagraph' pencil, the same technique.
But some pens look better with a gold Stabilo - perhaps not as authentic as the white, but my pens, my taste.
I wouldn't do that for the Pelikan birdies on the cap top though; those need green paint and it needs to match.

A wax pen of the kind children use for coloring works fine.

Rub 'n Buff has an antique white that might work: https://www.joann.com/rub-n-buff-finish/prd36790.html
Thank you all for your input. I ordered a Staedtler Lumocolor Glasochrom wax pencil and will give it a go. That rub and buff looks interesting though - might see if I can track some down locally.
I use a Crayola brand white crayon.

Was Esterbrook barrel script originally white?

Agree with a china marker making a nice filler. In a pinch Crayola will work.
I got the Crayola tip from a well-known pen maker when trying to make the engraving stand out on a Stipula Passaporto.

I have to admit that looks good despite the fact that i'm not a big fan of having white engraving on pens.
