    Default My Keepers

The shoeshine box I use to store my pens needed to be repaired, so I pulled all my pens out and thought I would share a couple of pictures. These all are used pretty regularly or I have sentimental connection to them. I don't have out my myriad of inexpensive pens, bit I'm sure some of you have a box or drawer full just like them.

The top photo is my Lamys. The charcoal with the red cap is a frankenpen and is an amalgamation of my first two Lamy pens. I lost the charcoal cap, so the red cap moved over and the red body seems to have disappeared in a move. The second photo is various brands including Ranga, Italix, FC, Waterman and an X750 with a Goulet nib. The third photo is my TWSBIs and I like all of them. The final is my small collection of vintage Esties with only the 2nd tranny from the right being unusable at the moment.

That's quite a nice and varied selection there!

What is the faceted stainless pen on the right in the third photo?

That is a TWSBI Precision. My favorite from that maker.

Love your Lamys! For some reason the family likeness is really evident in your photo - the Safaris, Studios and 2000s all look like they belong together.

Thanks @amk . I'm somewhat tempted to put everything away except for the Lamy pens and give them a year long drive.

Do share with us if you do. I don't know if I could do that for a full year but have been contemplating simplifying to only a couple of reliable writers for several months.

I'm down to only having ink in 2 other pens besides a Lamy 2000 and 2 studios. Once I empty them in the next 48 hours, I'll really think about using only the Lamys until at least the end of the year. Except for possibly MI #28...

I used only vintage Pelikans for a month. It was good fun! though I did, half way through the month, find out that my 400NN has a crack in the section. Don't ask me how I found out.... :-)
