Mottled Red Hard Rubber Mabie Todd 14C Blackbird 14ct Gold Nib
Hello everyone
Up for sale is a Mottled Red Hard Rubber Mabie Todd 'Thin' Blackbird lever-filler fountain pen most likely from the late 1920s, early 1930s.
The pen is in perfect cosmetic and working condition as it has crisp imprints and has been restored with a new ink sac in 2018.
Features:
- A 14 ct gold Extra-Fine nib; the nib is springy so you can produce F -> B line variation with it.
- Please see the writing sample below for dimensions and nib characteristics.
- Original ebonite feed.
- All parts are original.
- Please note that this is a clipless pen: it never had a clip.
- No cracks, no dents, no deep scratches.
- Imprints are crisp making it an excellent example.
No box or papers.
