Depends what you are looking for in an ink. And on the sort of paper you will mostly be using it on...
Do you want wet, thick lines? Or drier ones? Permanence or water fastness? Etc.
Vintage. Cursive italic. Iron gall.
I have a Lamy Al Star fine point and like Waterman inks.
It's a converter filler, so you can use any ink you like. There isn't one that's "best" overall. It's a case of what inks you like to write with on whatever paper you write or sketch on. Maybe some of the very saturated and sheening blue inks might stain the white piano finish if it's dipped in those, but otherwise the ink world is your oyster.
