Using an old pen that I picked because the colors reminded me of a Christmas tree

I also love the ink which is Akkerman Garuda Rood, probably my new favorite for dusty red color.

I have seen photos of a car showroom in Helmsdale, where we used to live. The petrol pumps were right on the sidewalk. I don't know what the pedestrians did when a car was filling up! This was as late as the fifties.

For those who subscribe to the view that Akkerman inks are mainly relabelled Diamine, this FPN post from a few years back compares Garuda Rood to Monaco Red
