Default Columbus Extra Laminato Oro 750

Can anyone shed any light on this pen. I just picked it up for a song not knowing anything about it, other than it's a Columbus which I know makes some really nice pens.
Best I can tell is it's from the 60s, it's a piston filler, has striped ink window, friction fit cap which has a clear jewel on the top reminiscent of a Parker51. The entire pen save the ink window and shell are encased in 18kt. and there are stripes going down the length of the barrel. The nib is somewhat soft.
From what I've been told and by the way it appears, the pen has never been inked. The ink window is pristine and the cork is very fresh looking with absolutely no ink staining visible.
I'm wondering given it's age and that it's never been inked that it might be a good idea to lube the piston. Does anyone have any ideas??

Yes! You’ve managed to make a sumgai transaction for a solid Laminito 18k pen! Congratulations!

Since it has never been filled and there’ll be no dried ink or corrosion, the piston should work fine.

Surprisingly I was the only bidder and it went for $49.....I've not been able to find any literature or information about it online. Any idea where I should try looking??

    Thanks!

Oops! The 750 does indicate 18karat but the name "Laminato" suggests laminate and not solid. More research required, but it is a nice pen in any event.

"Laminato oro 750" with those letters after the 750 definitely means laminated (plated) with gold at whatever thickness the letters say.
    Could they be g/mm??
