Kinda like this model for some reason....I own a maroon model and it's a sweet writer (9550 nib). I like the green and the color variation of the section. Nice find!

I have a couple of these pens, one in gray that I had lent out a few times. I like these better than the J series. These are configured more like other makers' upper quality pens (Parker 51, etc.).

So do all Esterbrook SM Deluxe pens have different coloured barrels and sections or are all of the sections green?

Chrissy, there are different colors. I have the dark green and light green models. On the dark one the jewel is black.

The sections on the pens I have had that had gray or red barrels had black sections.
