    Default Pen drawer

On a recent online trawl there was a couple of pen people with what looked like a kind of chest/box with drawers in for pen storage. Is there a recommended place to snaffle some such, or do peeps make their own?

Asking cos if pens start accumulating here they will need a place to be kept.*

*Could refrain from buying more... but we all know that ain't happening!

    Make your own.
    Or look on Amazon.co.uk
Depends on how many you want to put in it and how much you want to spend.....

It's a problem. I bought two cloth rolls from Amazon. They each hold about 8 pens. They filled up, and I bought a third. It is now full, too. I have a box on order that will hold 34. If I can exercise some restraint, I won't fill it, but I don't like my odds.

Luckily I own a 5 drawer pen case from Geoff Morris (UK), he made awesome customized handmade pen cases.

Unfortunately he stopped making them a few years ago, currently I’m not aware of a source of similar quality cases.

These pen cases were perfect, I have a 10 drawer case, he stopped making the 10 drawer becauase the 10 was too time consuming, holds 100 pens with a nice felt VVVVVVVVV drawer lining.

The case on Chrissy's link looks a reasonable option but remember to look at a divider between the top and bottom, note that one of the reviewers says that the slots were too short for their Lamy Safari collection, they say that a Safari is 14cm and the available slot length is 13.7cm. The safari is not exactly a giant amongst pens.

I purchased a box from Toyooka Craft on eBay. They have sizes ranging from 8-50 pens. It’s very sturdy. Mine can hold 20 pens (10 per shelf ) and the bottom shelf holds miscellaneous items.

I have some muji drawers that I really like. It seems to be pretty popular with fountain pen owners.

Nice if you can! I have one room for several drawer units for pen storage, pen restoration equipment and materials, photographic equipment, painting stuff, several bookcases,
my desk and PC. Works quite well.
