Broken pen parts what do you with them?
I've got a bag of broken bit's and pieces several dented 51 caps a few barrels (45's and 51's) with cracks and peoples names. I'm curious what others do with these things. I wouldn't want to sell pens with these defects but being genuine parts I think there must be a better use then throwing them away.

Re: Broken pen parts what do you with them?
You should read the thread about the repaired Doric in the FPN repair forum, where bits of a broken celluloid cap were dissolved, reformed and attached to the end of a barrel, to be sanded to faceted perfection. Oh, you can see the repair, but what a great job - and made with pieces that thankfully were kept. Dented caps can be undented on a mandrel. Clips and levers can be salvaged. Many people gladly accept engraved barrels. And so on.
I suggest you sell them as a lot, or offer them in the Pay It Forward forum.

I wouldn't regard people's names as defects.

Some personalisations can be removed from barrels, and some would be repairers might like to practice removing them.
