Default 1998 Stypen CocaCola FP, Converter info sought

I picked up a never inked Stypen FP; the pen looks just like the one linked to below and uses cartridge ink. Does anyone know if Stypen makes a converter or if another converter will fit this pen? I'd prefer to be able to use any ink I have. Thank you!

Odds are, if it takes an International Standard long cartridge, which the third photo suggests it does, then a regular International Standard converter will fit too.

There was a review of this pen which said that it will only take a short international cartridge which is strange because the pen comes with a long international cartridge, or at least Stypens double ended version of the long cartridge. The review went on to say that the pen would not take a converter but didnt explain why, it was possibly due to the retractable nib taking up the space.

Since the date of that 2011 review you can now buy mini versions of a converter which should fit although I would be inclined to fill the Stypen cartridge with a syringe for as long as you can

The FP came with an ink cartridge, long and skinny with a blue nipple on one end and a clear nipple on the other. The length of the cartridge is just slightly shorter than three inches long ( or spot on at 75 mm ) and about 5-6mm in diameter (harder for me to measure a diameter). I'll investigate a regular international standard converter, thank you!

The nib on the pen I've got is not retractable, is from 1998 and came with one long/skinny ink cartridge (75mm long, 5-6mm diameter, blue nipple on one end, clear nipple on the other).

I used to have a ton of Stypens. Nice little writers, and some have longer barrels to take the long standard internationals. The shorter-barreled pens will probably not accept either.

I'm currently down to two or three, one of which I turned into an italic by means of cutting with a nail scissors and filing down.
My other pen is a Montblanc.

And my other blog is a tumblr!

I found a converter for $5, just installed it (had to push down harder to get it to click than I anticpated) and water tested. Seems like it's going to work very well. Thanks for all your help!

    Excellent news. Enjoy!

Like Sailor Kenshin, I used to have many a Stypen and enjoyed the way they wrote. That was during my schooldays though, so while I had many it was only one at a time - they used to die horrible deaths either by dropping or summer holiday neglect. Ah well, regrets will not recover them.

It's always good to hear about a great result. That Stypen looks similar to a Waterman Kultur until you remove it's cap.
