    Default Maki-e Jinhao!

Waiting on delivery now with pictures to come...I found a nicely decorated wooden box with a large booklet on the art (in Chinese) and inside, a black lacquered Jintao with what appears to be gold Maki-e design of Mt Fuji. The cap has gold Chinese lettering.
I am most likely keeping the pen no matter what, but none of my reseach shows evidence of a maki-e Jinhao being made. The box is also different than any other pen I've seen. It has a few grooves in it and looks as if it could hold at least 3 pens.
Has anyone here ever seen or heard of such a thing before?
    I will attach pictures tonight.

Interesting, I've seen hand painted Chinese pens before, but only cheapies in person.

The artisan/artist made Japanese maki pens are gorgeous, but I use every pen I own and wouldn't want to scuff up (or worse) a work of art like that!

    So many restoration projects...
