Hello there,
I am Dan from South Jersey, I have been using fountain pens for a little while now(about 5 years), but new this forum. Now I am kinda at crossroad where I believe I know what type of pens I enjoy writing with, but never branched out and brought a soft nib/flex nibs. I have been debating on buying for my next pen a Pilot Falcon to give soft nibs a try, or buying a Waterman carene from Nibs.com with cursive Italic grind nib. I have been writing with a waterman carene daily as a note taker for 2 years, but recently brought couple stub nibs and fell in love with them, but not that great for note taking (they work but not perfectly). So my question is should I branch out have try a new nib style, or merge two my favorite types of pens (stub/italic nibs and carene). My thought process on the carene with cursive Italic is that nib size would be smaller and smoother to write with then 1.1mm and 1.5mm stub nibs. So I looking for anyone opinions on Pilot Falcon, and if anyone has brought a cursive italic nib on carene from nibs.com.(Side note probably buy both at some point)
Also if anyone has any recommendations on a good maroon/deep red or a reddish brown color ink.
-Dan
