    Default Lanxivi or Jinhao

I’m one of the REALLY new folks to this amazing hobby, and quickly realize there is a lot to learn. That’s part of the fun! So, I’ve been trying to identify the pen below that came in one of those big cheap assorted lots I bought on the auction site. It came in a cloth holder that was stamped Lanxivi, but other than that as you can see there is no other branding on the pen.

When I search I often see Lanxivi Jinhao together as if it’s one company. Is that right or is that just the way people add keywords?

And lastly, if anyone can help me identify this rather ornate (but I understand inexpensive) fountain pen I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks!

And to make it even more fun, the nib is stamped Yiren.

It's very pretty. Have you written with it yet? I have a similar- looking pen marked 'Bookworm' which has a fude nib.
My other pen is a Montblanc.

And my other blog is a tumblr!

I would take Lanxivi out of the equation. They are a seller or retailer of a lot of different pens from various Chinese manufacturers. If you search "Lanxivi" in Amazon, you will see what I mean.

Here is their Amazon store link: https://www.amazon.com/sp?seller=A2U2T827DN5194

It certainly looks like a Jinhao section and the sheer ornateness (if that's a word!) of it all looks very Jinhao like apart from the clip.

I'm less keen on the fact that there is a gold plated nib in a pen that has chrome plated trim and wonder if it might just be a nib that was switched in?

I just remembered! I believe SBRE Brown reviewed that pen some time ago and identified it as a Yiren. I'll have to look for the link to be sure.

The one I have is also called a 'Bookworm.'

I dragged it out last night and everything but the fude nib looks exactly like tooth's pen, except the nib is marked Bookworm rather than Yiren. I may have bought it from either isellpens or hisnibs.

Just for fun, I inked mine with Diamine Guitar Honey Burst. The fude nib writes a dry, stingy line....maybe yours will write a bit more generously. But it sure is a pretty pen.
