    Default Hi

    Hello all.
I am returning to fountain pens after approx 25 years in the wilderness...

Before I shell out I have dug out my old favourite. But I don’t know what brands it is. Can anyone help? The logo is a capital M with some script like flourish above, around and below it. Any ideas? I liked it for the relatively heaviness. May need a new nib. Cheers all.

Well, that "M" was the most obvious. Since you dug out your old favorite, it's right there for a photo.

Welcome I couldn't find anything regarding the logo either. Is that the only inscription on the pen?
I hope you can find out more about it and I wish you luck with it.

There is a good chance that "M" is not connected with the make of the pen. In the 40s & 50s you could order personalized pens that mad a letter of you choice on an insert in the cap. Generally the pens were sold mail order and for about a dollar. There were lots of different companies selling them and almost all were just parts pens, parts ordered often from one of the Petersburg, VA pen companies. Detailed pictures of the pen and nib might help pinning down a possible original maker.
