I was able to obtain an Esterbrook 3556 nib from a estate sale merchant. From what I have read these were made in 1938 and the first tipped by osmoridium. I would appreciate any experience with this pen from my fellow members.

I can’t see much of it, but i assume it’s on a Dollar Pen. They’re nice pens, and the nib is attractive. 3556 is probably equivalent to the 9556
I got the pen and nib in the mail. I've ordered a new sac for the demi Dollar pen, but wanted to go ahead and try the nib, the reason for the purchase. The recipient was a suitable early 1932 Dollar in hard rubber. I have nibs in the 9000 series, but this nib is the best of my collection in how it performs and feels.
