Purchasing nibs and feeds
Hello All
1) I am new to making FPs. the stumbling block I am having is getting my hands on nibs and feeds, which do not cost an arm and a leg. ( Noodlers Nibs and feeds, Fountain Pen Revolution, ect) Does any one have any good sources for them buggers?
2) how does one etch a design onto the FP nibs? Does one buy them etched by the source?
I want to thank Y'all in advance.

Re: Purchasing nibs and feeds
I'm not sure this fits what you want to do but you could part-out vintage pens from ebay. I make a lot of Franken-pens from old pen bodies that I think are pretty. It's an inexpensive way to have a lot of pens.

Re: Purchasing nibs and feeds
Hi
Welcome to the pen making obsession. I recommend that you search for pen making supply vendors online, they have all the stuff you need. You can buy nibs at many price points. Please visit and register at https://www.penturners.org. It is a fantastic pen making forum and resource, everyone is nice and willing to help regardless of the experience level. Beginners are welcomed, helped and encouraged.
Here are some vendors I use:
http://www.exoticblanks.com
http://penkits.biz
https://richardlgreenwald.com
http://www.silverpenparts.com/index.html
http://meisternibs.com/steel-nibs/
http://www.bereahardwoods.com
http://www.fpnibs.com/nibs/jowo/jowo-steel.html
https://www.beaufortink.co.uk
http://www.indy-pen-dance.com
https://andersonpens.com
https://www.milanspens.com
To get a custom marking on a nib you need to purchase in quantity from a vendor like Schmidt, Jowo or Bock. If you know someone with a laser engraver you could have them engrave your mark.
Good Luck, have fun,
mike
