I'm so very sorry to hear this, and I heard similar from a family friend. My sincerest condolences.

Dr. Vladimir Zelenko has now treated 699 coronavirus patients with 100% success using Hydroxychloroquine Sulfate, Zinc and Z-Pak 3-28-20

EXCELLENT NEWS: Hydroxychloroquine Treatment Effective on 699 Patients [ video - starts around 1:28 ]

    exerpt:

Last Wednesday, we publishedthe success story from Dr. Vladimir Zelenko, a board-certified family practitioner in New York, after he successfully treated 350 coronavirus patients with 100 percent success using a cocktail of drugs: hydroxychloroquine, in combination with azithromycin (Z-Pak), an antibiotic to treat secondary infections, and zinc sulfate. Dr. Zelenko said he saw the symptom of shortness of breath resolved within four to six hours after treatment.

Now, Dr. Zelenko provides updates on the treatment after he successfully treated 699 COVID-19 patients in New York. In an exclusive interview with former New York Mayor, Rudy Giuliani, Dr. Vladmir Zelenko shares the results of his latest study, which showed that out of his 699 patients treated, zero patients died, zero patients intubated, and four hospitalizations.

Dr. Zelenko said the whole treatment costs only $20 over a period of 5 days with 100% success. He defines success as “Not to die.” Dr. Zelenko first posted his Facebook video message last week calling on President Trump to “advise the country that they should be taking this medication.”

We hear the statistics every day but it's a different thing when it happens to someone we know. I'm very sorry to hear it.

I’m sorry to hear that Weevil.

Try to stay save at home if possible, thatˋs the best we can do now.

Honestly? I'd rather not. The BBC has a text service that gives the headlines and we have read that every morning since I came here. Until the other day. It's just coronavirus, coronavirus, coronavirus, doom, gloom and despondency. Life in the lockdown is hard enough without scaring ourselves witless. We decided to ignore it all as best we could and live as normally as possible.

I understand the feeling. And after two weeks of lockdown all this is really sickening... (no pun intended)

But the fact remains that many people have downplayed the impact of this pandemic while only citing opinions and secondary sources. This is an official government report that apparently succeeded in changing Trump's mind. No small feat.

    Grainweevil, very sorry.

My family has been more lucky: my older brother (he is 65, and has a compromised immune system from chemo) recovered sufficiently to be sent home from the hospital to recover further. They needed his bed for the patients not showing recovery. We keep our fingers crossed.

    Best wishes for all.

Thank you, folks. We had better pace ourselves in the matter of condolences, as I fear we're going to be hearing more of the same from others.

Really good news about your brother, TSherbs. Needed that.

I used to think happiness was finding a Mabie Todd in an antique shop, removing the cap and finding a #8 nib.

    It isnt.

Worry is having an empty fridge and being told that food delivery slots are unavailable until September, happiness is clicking on one of the sites and finding that they will deliver the very next day.

If its an April Fool prank I will be a little bit cheesed off.

Glad you could find delivery. We finally got one. It's the 18th April! I will have to brave a shopping today.

I would still be happy to find a Swan No 8!

I have been trying several times a day Deb, its not my first choice of grocer but I got a delivery slot with Iceland. I went down to two other supermarkets yesterday and the queue was just crazy, about 1/4 mile long and didnt seem to be moving at all. I am not the most patient of people so I am grateful for finding a home delivery.

My OH popped out to Waitrose today at about 9am. He went straight inside with no queue, and there was no queue when it came to pay. Quite straightforward really.
