Gold ink for fountain pen or dip nibs?
I don't think there are gold ink for pens, but I hope there is a chance for dip nibs. For decorative touch ups and greeting cards it can be nice.
I have a bottle of "Royal Talens Ecoline 801", but it's very difficult. I have a few dip nibs, not a that many to choose from. Is there a special nib for thicker inks? Is there are more well behaved gold ink available?
At the moment I am just playing around with deep reds, colors and metallic inks to improve my skills.

I *think* the only fountain pen golds are shimmer ones like Diamine's Golden Sands (which I think is gorgeous, but isn't quite the same!)

Try Kuretake Gold Mica Calligraphy Ink. It works well with dip pens.
Although it doesn’t have the same metallic finish, for fountain pens Robert Oster Shake ‘n Shimmy Heart of Gold gets good reviews. I haven’t tried it as I don’t like shimmer inks in fountain pens.

If you want gold ink for fountain pens then the only options are to choose a decent yellow gold colour that is readable like Sheaffer King's Gold or Pelikan Edelstein Amber or a yellow shimmer ink that contains gold particles.
I don't often use a gold ink for writing Christmas cards as I prefer to use a red or forest green shimmer ink, but last year I chose Diamine Razzmatazz for some of them. I also like the effect that Vinta Inks Gold Dust/Piloncitos produces.
