Help needed!
I have a gold plated Parker 51 Insignia and I dropped the pen, and now I cannot get the cap off the pen. The fall to the floor must have pushed the barrel further into the cap and no matter how much I tug on the pen it will not come apart. Because it is gold I am leery of damaging the pen and denting or marking it.
Any helpful suggests as to how to loosen the pen from the cap?

Re: Help needed!
You can unscrew the barrel and grab the aluminium filler to wiggle it gently to and fourth while pulling it upwards (do not turn or twist the pen, just pull).
If that does not work, you can gently warm the cap and repeat as above.

Re: Help needed!
I would hold the cap end under hot water for a couple of minutes so that it warms up enough to very slightly increase in size, then hopefully it will pull off with something wrapped around it to protect your hand from the heat.
Two rubber grips would be useful: one for each hand.

Re: Help needed!
Thank you so much guys, mission accomplished! I held the cap under running hot water faucet until I felt the metal warm up, then used rubber grip clothes, the kind used to twist tight jars tops, and pulled! Thank you all very much!
