Default Is it possible to increase ink flow on Parker 75

I have a couple on Parker 75,s and I love these pens, but both are on the dry side and have like my pens with generous flow.
There seems so little of these nibs, can the ink flow be increased?

My experience is limited to my one and only example: the flow was much better as soon as I cleaned the section in an ultrasonic bath.

Old dried ink in the feed could also be a problem. But you shouldn't try to separate the nib from the feed unless you have a special tool.

My experience of the 75 is that the flow was just right, nether too dry nor too wet, apologies if that sounds like Goldilocks.

As Carlos has suggested a good clean can get the maximum out of the design but a well set up 75 is good for maximum mileage out of a fill of ink.

I know that some people want to see wet ink three lines above the line that they are writing, even with a Fine nib, rather than adjust your pen it may be better to adjust your expectations.

Enjoy your 75, was there ever a better modern Parker.

If I ever consider one of my pens is writing dry I tend to give it a good clean and flush out then change the ink I use in it before doing anything else.

I have never tried or even seen a Parker 75 but there is a FPG thread here that suggests the nib and feed are friction fit and just pull out. However, I wouldn't be tempted to even try that before giving the whole section a really good clean and flush, then run through the USC.

Some feeds aren't made to be overly generous with ink flow, but an ink that's considered wet might make the difference you're looking for.

I like the 75 but it has some flaws, especially the section’s shrinking plastic. The plastic section threads are a cheap touch on what was a rather expensive pen for its time. I feel like my Targas are a little more solidly made.

Despite those flaws, i’m keeping my 75s because the nibs are outstanding. I agree that they write well out of the box; Parker QC on the nibs was pretty good.

The one problem i’ve had with a 75 is with a #72 nib. The #72 is the extra broad stub and the pen doesn’t really deliver enough ink for it. Adjusting the flow is not easy. I am thinking about getting the tool, but It’s just this one nib so i’m thinking long and hard about it.

I have a 75 SS Cisele that came with a stingy EF nib. Flossing it with a brass shim, one tine's tipping came off. Clipped off the other nib's tipping and smoothed it into a stub. I am unimpressed by this pen. Flow is better.

    Racksnackles. P51s are better.

The "Parker 75 Cisele" is probably the most popular. If you Google that and select Images you will see hundreds of examples of what it looks like.
