    Default Fountain Pen Inventory Software

Needing software that would make it easy for me to keep up with my pens, I found this.

    Fountain Pen Inventory http://www.jonro.com/downloads/

While it's old, it works great. Simple, fill-in-the-blank style, with areas for pricing, nibs, pen descriptions, photos, etc.

Might be a way to use your time now as well as print out a list of your pens and prices for your estate to keep from giving your collection away too cheaply.

I realize that some can create their own system, but this is a turn-key program that works for me. If there are other readymade pen inventory software that works as well and as easily, I'd like to know.

    Cheers.

Yes, that's been around for years, and many either have or still use it. Jon Rosen is an avid pen guy (or has been) who relocated to the Bay area. He has a connection to the SF Pen Posse, and to make this a small world, 2 years ago his blues band played at the Friday night mixer at the SF Pen Show and I sat in on drums.

@manoeuver Check it out! There's also a link to coffee software. I'm afraid to click on it, though....

An FPN member recently launched an app for iOS and Android.

I have been using the Android version and it is pretty good, if a little rough around the edges. The ads can be disabled if they bug you.

It seems to me that the fountain pennish thing to do would be to make a big list on ledger paper or something.

I use an Excel spreadsheet for stock. It's more flexible than preset software and you can apply whatever details you decide. Mine has been running since '09.

I choose to fail to keep my inventory using pen and paper, although I can see the benefits of failing to keep it in more technological fashion.

In the long ago someone generously offered one of those preset softwares free. I downloaded it, entered a host of details for each pen and imported photos. I got to three pens...

I don't really keep an inventory. I do keep a list of what is inked with what, what is waiting to be cleaned, what is clean, and what is needing repair.

For now, at least, I can remember most of my 50-ish pens or just go look in my pen binder to remind myself.

I’ve been using an app called “Collections” which synchronizes across all my IOS devices and my Mac desktop. It was pretty easy to set up and includes fields for photos.
