Wahl-Eversharp Desk Stand
As a newbie in this forum I hope you'll forgive me breaching any protocol for I may be posting this in an appropriate forum areaIMG_2570.jpg
If anyone knows anything about this Wahl-Eversharp desk stand, in the way of date, place of manufacture, value (but, I'm not selling, not just yet). The wooden back plate looks like is manufactured using two haves, and over time it has split. It looks like a crack, but it is not. As well sorry about the image size.

Re: Wahl-Eversharp Desk Stand
That is a strange beast. Is it marked Wahl Eversharp?
I do not see a socket for a desk pen.

Re: Wahl-Eversharp Desk Stand
Not a stand to me, more like a tray.
That wooden back plate is indeed strange, seems out place to me.

Re: Wahl-Eversharp Desk Stand
It has a small label (almost indecipherable) on the bottom that says Wahl-Eversharp.

Re: Wahl-Eversharp Desk Stand
You are correct, that is the term I should have used, tray, not stand.

Re: Wahl-Eversharp Desk Stand
It may possibly be a pencil tray from the period before the introduction of the Wahl desk (fountain) pens. The first Wahl-Eversharp desk pens appeared in 1928.
Can you provide a picture of the label on the bottom?
The figure is definitely not what you typically find on a desk pen base.
