    Default Swan L200B/60

This is a Mabie Todd Swan Leverless Type I, made between 1934 and 1936. These pens are celluloid with black hard rubber clip screw and turn button.

The chasing and barrel imprint remain as sharp as when new.

The nib is a medium stub. It has appreciable flexibility. That combined with the nib shape makes for dramatic line variation.

These pens are not at all uncommon and in this, the black chased celluloid version, they are not usually as expensive as the more colourful type. At 12.4 cm capped this is a comfortable medium-sized pen. It is fitted with a large sac that fills the barrel and takes a good fill of ink.

Thanks for posting Deb a very good looking pen with a very special nib. I haven't used a stub with any degree of flexibility, it sounds like the two features might be fighting each other but your writing sample gives reassurance on this, it looks good and not too unwieldy for everyday use.

Swan stubs are usually flexible. I think it will be useful for general work. It will be on my desk for a week or two so will get a good trial.

    Wow It is a beauty!!
Love that nib !!! Not seen a Real Swan Stub like this..
I have few Swan stubs types that I consider they are stubs as the way they write.
    Unique marvalous writers!!!

    Cheers Deb!!
