You would say: "I'm thinking of something." Then we ask up to twenty "yes" or "no" questions, and the person who gets the correct answer, takes over as the thinker. If no-one guesses correctly within twenty questions, you reveal the answer and start again. One exception to yes or no is the classic "animal, vegetable or mineral," asking what the thing is derived from. Of course, sometimes it's a combination or none of them (e.g., neutrons). When a thinker tires of the game, hints come out, sometimes absurdly obvious. Alas, if participants dwindle, it can get a bit tedious. (This is more often played in a car on long journeys.)
