Default Sheaffer Balance OS Cap Inner Diameter

Might anyone have an accurate measurement on the inner diameter of a Sheaffer Balance OS cap? Specifically at the lip.

I picked up four and measured with a micrometer, as follows:
'29 long barrel oversize Balance, hump ball clip, lever-filler - Inside diameter of cap at the lip: 12.9mm
Early '30s oversize Balance, hump ball clip, lever-filler - Inside diameter of cap at the lip: 13.2mm
Late '30s striated oversize Balance, smooth clip, Vac-Fill - Inside diameter of cap at the lip: 13.1mm
Late '30s striated oversize Balance, smooth clip, Vac-Fill - Inside diameter of lcap at the lip: 12.9mm

Thanks. The only micrometer I have on hand is digital and it's dead until I get a new battery.

This will show why I asked

I knew it had a lip crack but didn't care because it was an autograph cap and I could fix it. But what I didn't know is there was a basically invisible stress fracture horizontally along the inside of the lip and down to the edge of the lip. Didn't even see it with the 30x.

I dunno what I did but it cracked completely and came off. It's a very clean break all around. Right up to the edge of the cap band. I am going to solvent weld it but my problem was how to keep it perfectly in place. Then had a stroke of genius. I put a 1/2 inch dowel(the inch conversion of the mm measurements in the above reply) into the cap. It holds the piece perfectly in place.

Apply the solvent, place the dowel inside the cap, slip the broken piece into place and let it sit.CameraZOOM-20200427205528609.jpg

On pens with wide cap bands it is an easy process to replace the entire cap lip and if done correctly the repair is nearly invisible.

This is my understanding as well. But in this case, the piece that broke off broke off did so very cleanly. So, I can just solvent weld it back on without replacing the entire cap lip. You can still see the break in this picture but I have not done the weld yet. This is just an example picture.
