Default EverSharp 5th Avenue Sac Nipple Repair?

I have already ordered a NOS replacement hood/section but was just wondering if anyone has any hacks for repairing a section nipple that has crumbled to bits. There is still technically room for a sac to connect to it but the edges look like a dog missing teeth but with it's remaining teeth being jagged

I see no shortcuts for this. You'll need either a replacement or some lathe work (if its worth it).

Yea, not worth the lathe work. I do have a replacement on the way. I just wondered for the future if there was something reliable that could be done other than lathe work.

If you happened to know anyone (ceramic restorers?) who have either Fynebond or Araldite 2020 then there is a good chance that you could insert a rod/tube into the remainder of the nipple and rebuild the edge of the nipple around it onto the broken edges using that adhesive mixed with dry powder pigment. Once cured it would be good enough to glue a sac onto.

I had to repair a squish sac nipple on a Parker 21 and used it for lathe practice. But yeah a replacement part makes sense.
