Hello all,

I am selling a unique Danitrio fountain pen: the Kama-nuri Kamakura-bori Blue Tame-nuri on Takumi. Only a few of these pens were made, and Danitrio pens are getting more and more difficult to come by.

This pen began life as a black Urushi Takumi model. Then, the artist (Mr. Kazushi Kanego) applied layers of blue Urushi over the black. This was followed by more layers of black Urushi. Next, the artist hand-chiseled the diamond (or rhombus) pattern into the blue layer. Last he chiseled dots down into the original black layer. The workmanship is exquisite.

The pen comes with an 18k gold fine nib that has been tuned to perfection by Mike Masuyama. All the original packaging materials are included.

Reduced price by $200. Now asking $1750 for this incredible piece of art and writing instrument (buyer pays shipping with insurance). I am not interested in trades. Yes. It’s a cartridge/converter fill with #6 nib.

I have to be honest - that pen (or at least one in the same finish elsewhere online) is what inspired me get my first Danitrio and is something I still lust after. But, over the years I've learned I lean heavily towards oversize pens with piston or eyedropper fillers and #8 nibs. As much as I love that finish I don't think I'd give it the love it deserves.
