My recently acquired Pilot Falcon was running dry and skipping and since it was not new, and the previous owner had probably sold it because of these issues, I decided to remove the nib and make sure the feed was clean. Suffice it to say that the nib unit, body and cap are still in good condition, and I have learnt an(other) expensive lesson. It seems I am never too old to learn.
My desire is to use the nib in some way but am not able to find a replacement section so I am wondering what my options might be. I also wonder if an o-ring would hold the cartridge in place. The cartridge will sit in the section but is a bit loose and writes very wet.
