Cross- Atlantic Shipping

Hi. I don't really know how shipping works and what it depends on. I have ordered some ink samples from Leipzig, Germany, to California, and the total time was 15 days. I operated with their tracking system https://www.postsendungsverfolgung.c...erfolgung.html, and apparently, I haven't noticed considerable delays. I've read some of your replies, and I've seen someone receive his package in about 7-8 days, and others took three/four months or even one year. I wonder what the reasons for such a big difference are. Does it depend on the company you chose, or are there other criteria I don't understand?
