All international ink flights have been sent out this morning.

For everyone's safety, ink samples were prepared using a face mask and gloves. Packets were put together with a face mask and freshly washed hands. ( Sorry, but it's impossible to use sticky tape with gloves on... )

USA samples will be sent out on Tuesday 21 July.

    All the Best.

Any way you'd like. All except one participant has received their ink flights. I will wait until everyone has posted their impressions before revealing the ink names.

    Really quick first impressions.

This is Rhodia dot grid. At first, both inks seemed dry, but 29 now seems to have decent lubrication. Both pens are piston-fillers.

    Ink 28

Chroma 28, which seems to consist of a single dye component:

    Ink 29

Chroma 29, which breaks into all sorts of colors and makes me happy:

I note that 29 is similar to an ink I already own, but I don't think it actually is the same. And 28 at first reminded me of a certain other ink, but in using it, I also don't think it's the same.

    Many thanks to Jim! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

And please don't fall on the pen (or sword) or both

So far I've only written with MI#28 but I really like this one.
It's an unusual salmon type pinkish colour and I found it performed well on both papers I wrote on. Not dry, very well lubricated across the page on the coated paper, maybe a little less so on the Rhodia Dot Pad, but never scratchy.
Not a saturated ink. No noticeable shading or sheen. Washed off my hands with one wash.

Here is my report on Mystery ink 28....
Like Chrissy the ink dry time was longish, I find it great ink for drawing, or an accent ink, for Christmas cards or for contrast with a black ink....or to traumatize students' papers

The ink is water resistant: This is after being exposed for 15 seconds under running water:
    Mystery 28 water ressitane.jpeg

The ink closest was Rouge Hematite:

    Mystery 28 swab.jpeg

Here are my first scribbles with a fude nib:
    Mystery 28 5.jpg

With a medium nib, I had a little morning spillage, hence the mess
    Mystery 28 4.jpg

    And finally more poised

Having difficulty with the Dollar Demonstrator, I put MI 28 in a different pen, a Wing'S 3007. This is rare. I normally use one pen per mystery.

Alas, I had the same troubles.

The color is pretty and appealing, but the ink seems dry and reluctant. It did wash right out of the Dollar, though.
