Default Dihydrogen monoxide & vac fillers

Despite warnings about introducing lethal dihydrogen monoxide into the barrels of vac fillers, i usually test newly acquired vac fillers with H2O. I do this for 2 reasons: to see if the filling system works & if not, whether a little moisture will revitalize the packing unit. Once in a while it does. This 1938-1942 Autograph Viceroy took up 3+ mL a few days after a test and soak.

    It's all good, except... Viceroy?

That’s what the catalogs call the Autograph + gold fill clip model.

It seems perfect for gifts to people you aren’t that close with since it would look good when presented & you wouldn’t be around when it started to show brassing.

LOL. True that! Honestly, I hadn't seen that 'model name' before and a quick search, even at Binder's site, didn't turn up anything. TIL

Jon, you really need to cut back on that dihydrogen monoxide.
