    Default Hello Planeswalkers!

Hi, I am Jace and would like to introduce myself briefly.

I love writing, and fountain pens have become my favourite tool for that; they are comfortable and effective. I don't feel as tired writing with them compared to other writing tools.

I am still new to the FP game, and am currently using the Pilot Kakuno (M), might try the F nib for that pen next as I find that a bit too broad for my tastes.

The paper I generally use come from MUJI, with varying results. Some MUJI paper are good (those designated HQ), some are terrible (the cheaper ones, e.g. 5-pack). Still experimenting.

The pens I am eyeing to buy (in my wishlist): Lamy 2K (EF) and Pilot VP (F).

    Any suggestions welcome!

    Take care and be safe.

Hi again. As you see, the place looks quiet sometimes, but the woods are teeming with pen freaks.

    Welcome aboard!

I had a couple of Kakunos and thought they punched pretty far above their class. Mine were in F. I tend to like fine writers.

    Greetings from New York City.

I write too, usually with broad and wet vintage pens. These days i’ve been using Tomoe River in A5 notebooks. When i’m working on something longer i use loose sheets of bagasse paper.

    Thanks!

I find that the Kakuno M is a little broader than I want, which is surprising because the Nib Nook showed the Kakuno M to be very fine. I guess different paper/ink combinations may vary the thickness of the strokes (I don't know the terminology for thickness of the strokes). It wrote really smoothly though. I will try the Kakuno F next. Good thing they aren't that expensive.

    Hi

I've never tried Tomoe River paper, heard good things about those. I write so much that I use up too many notebooks and find that loose leaf is more fitting for my purposes. But I do love notebooks too to jot random thoughts or to organize my thoughts. I am so tempted to try the Midori TN but has such mixed reviews - some love it, some don't. I am worried that some users say that it won't lie flat because that is super important for me in a notebook. Have you heard of or tried the Traveller's Notebook from Midori?
