Kevin Hsu sells the Chan pen wraps on the 'bay of E - LINKY
i got a dorsal fin 2 last year for my 65th birthday. it was my first one and I got it from nibs.com in the US. That pen is the smoothest writer in my case. they are truly works of art. Write memorably with yours.
Top quality pen sleeves from a different brand: Pilot together with Somes, which I understand to be the Japanese equivalent of the original Hermes, or something:
https://www.pilot.co.jp/products/sta...er/pilotsomes/
They have 1, 2, 3 and 5 pen sleeves - the 2 pen sleeve being, strangely, a bit smaller than all other versions. The Dorsal Fin II is worthy of the 1 pen sleeve:
I have a somewhat troubled relation with Nakaya’s nibs though. I own three and all of them needed some tuning out of the box. Super happy with them afterwards, I just didn’t expect that...and now I have definitively jinxed it, so the last one (currently on order) will most likely also need attention.
Well, perhaps it’s me.
The first, a soft-medium, was actually ok-ish and only got some grinding/polishing strokes in store.
The second, a medium, actually wrote ok, but was made a bit wetter by a Nakaya nibmeister during a store event - this is now my favorite Nakaya and one of my favorites over all.
The third, a broad, simply had baby’s bottom (i.e. hard starts) and a bit of minutely misaligned tines.
So if you think about it, only the third was “faulty” and the others were perhaps “not-yet-personalized”.
Having said that, my other Japanese nibs never had any issues at all...
